4 Power Brothers
A Short Story

Isaac and his friend Selene are both mountain climbers hiking mountain after mountain in search for adventure, after hiking a mountain they both fell down a hole and stumble upon a mysterious castle made of wood and plants. They are in awe by its majestic greatness and titanic proportions. Isaac is curious who or what made the structure. Let’s get inside Isaacs asks. This door is pretty thick how are we supposed to get in? Selene asks. The door suddenly opens and they see a dark place inside the castle and without warning a voice tells them to come inside. Who was that? Let’s go this could be an adventure Isaac tells Selene with confidence. They both entered the castle. Upon entering, the door shuts behind them and for a few seconds it was total darkness and silence. Suddenly a bright light came from above and showed a beautiful room made of plants and flowers. A hologram then of a man with normal clothes in his twenties appears. Who are you? Isaac asks. My name is Arthur Green I am the owner of this castle. A hologram? Isaac asks, I am what you call a story teller for the real owner of this castle left 5000 years ago. He left why?, Isaac asks. Now that is why I am here and I am here to tell you a story of adventure and power if you are willing to listen? Arthur Answers. Don’t worry you both can stay here as comfortably as a guest in the castle while listening. Selene then looks at Isaac and tells him lets listen to what he going to tell us this could be once in a lifetime?. Yes Isaac answers. We both decided we will listen to your story Mr Green. Then we shall start Arthur answers. A hologram sorrounding appears and takes Isaac and Selene through the story.
The story starts on planet earth and it was the 30th century and it was green and full of life where all living creatures were all living happily with each other. Humans have been able to make all technology safe to nature and it was a time of happiness. I was experimenting on the elements to combine water, earth, steel, and plants and combine them to make a plant made of steel so that we will be able to just plant steel in crops and no longer destroy mountains to harvest them that would harm the ecosystem and would be very safe to human life. At that time the economy was run by your contribution to science, the greater and useful your contribution, the higher your status would become. At age 25 I had already contributed many achievements to science so my status was already high and my status had given me all the tools I need to progress in my experiments. This steel experiement was to be my greatest achievement yet.
With the technology of the 30th centrury I was able to clone 3 of myself with the consent of my father of course. They had shorter life spans, different personalities, same intellect and they helped with my experiments. There is also a law that you can have a limit of 3 clones. After my first achievement I made my first clone James and he looks like 20 year old version of me, My second clone John who is 18 years version and Paul the 16 year old version of me. My clones were not just clones but they were also my brothers. They also had the same status as me so life was nice for the 4 of us.
For a year the four of us were able to make the experiment successful and we celebrated after the government wanted to mass produce the metal producing plantlife. It made my status even higher because it was one of best success experiments of the decade. The metal was used for space ships, space stations, buildings, and everything that involved metal. Best thing about it was to plant the crop in a space station to expand the space station and it was very convinient. The government also appointed us the we stay in one of the space stations for 5 months and join the top scientists to improve the metal plant life of its durability and productivity. We were finally going to space and ride a space ship exclusive for the four of us.
The day of going to space was nearly coming and we had to put most of our experiments in the space ship that we were riding. It was the first time that my clones were finally going to space so we watched holograms that did the scenarios of arriving safely to our destination. James had everything figured out on what to bring, John was preparing on driving the space ship, Paul was learning emergency measures and brought the emergency kit, and I was the captain.
It was gonna be a 10 hour ride from earth to one of the space stations near the moon. This space station that we were going to was also a vast city where thousands of people come and go to visit. It was a metropolis run by humans and artificial intelligence. People can stay at the station for free and make it their home. The Ai's and machines worked tirelessly without complain to serve the humans. To accomodate the visiting and staying population, the government needed to improved my plant metal experiment to expand the space station.
Lift off to space and John drove easily nearing to our destination. In a distance we can see the station nearly as big as the moon and it was buzzling with ships arriving. Upon arriving the station with a perfect landing. All of us were excited because we were greeted by the Ai's like vacation destination welcome. It was a paradise mixed with a city. But before we could do anything else, an old man came and introduced himself as Dr. Bris he was saying he was gonna be the supervisor for me and my clones during the experiment. Bris told us we had to start our experiment emmediately if we were to go on vacation to the station after 5 months or less. He himself was a regular vacationer to the city. Bris drove us to the lab and introduced us to other scientists who would be helping us in the experiment. During this time None of us knew what was coming and this was gonna be one of the greatest achievements of humandkind.
The original metal plant that me and my brothers made was able to grow in 6 months with two times the sunlight, soil nutrients and water than the ordiray plant would need. Back on the lab we were doing test's on the plant on how we would make it grow faster. Several tests have been proven not effective. In the first month we made the plant grow faster by changing its DNA to absorb water and sunlight at an accelerated rate, since it was the most basic elements the plant needs, in about four hours after contact to water and sunlight the plant became a boiling liquid that was not equivalent to the metal that we were after. The second month, The plants DNA was changed for it to grow under the soil like a potato to absorb mostly the nutrients of its surroundings, in 4 hours the soil became mostly ash and the plant became a burden to its surroundings. In the third month we made a plant that would grow into a tree in a month period, still it made the soil into ash coz it constantly absorbed the nutrients of the soil to be able to compensate its body.
One night it was almost the fourth month after starting the experiment, we were almost out of ideas. Me and my brothers went out to the park of the city. In the park the walls were transparent and we could see through space, as we were walking along John saw a the vast emptiness of space and was the the final element that we needed to make the experiment a success. He suggested we look for the answers in space without actually going the distance.
Somedays followed with all the scientists that was in our group we finally made a new plant that will absorb dark matter since space had unlimited resources for it. This experiment was gonna be a success if a seed was introduced to dark matter and grow normally as it should be. It was still a first that we will do this plant hybrid. All preparations were complete and we were ready to do the experiment. There was a countdown to throw the seed into space and it was a tense moment for us. A hatch opens the seed goes into space and we were in total silence to wait for the seed to absorb the darkmatter and grow. In a few minutes the seed was starting to grow, it was turning into a big plant structure. We jumped in joy since the experiment was a success. We were opening champaignes and shouting our hearts out. Suddenly there was darkness outside the station we can no longer see the plant or the stars. We were wondering what was happening to our experiment. Our celebration was short lived coz in moments the plant was growing in an accelerated state. Covering the space station from top to bottom, it was being pulled by the artificial gravity and the only thing that was protecting the station was the forcefield. Contact to the outside was useless because the signals was being blocked by the metallic substance in the plant. Then suddenly there was silence it seemed the plant stopped growing and trying to enter the station.
It seemed like the end of the world was coming to us. Then rescuers with spaceships with laser cutters entered from the outside they rescued us and put everybody on board their ship for rescuing. Upon leaving the station and seeing what was happening outside. We were in awe because we saw a new planet with artificial gravity was being born.
In a few days scientists studied the planet and saw it was growing the same rate as earth. They called it a new achievement of humanity. They called it the four power brothers or FPBP planet in dedication to its inventors as a prototype planet. The planet was moved to a new galaxy so it would not interfere with earths weather. It was then terraformed to be livable. It was given to Arthur Green and his brothers, the Government built a castle for them to lived in. Soon thousands of people immigrated to the FPBP and then that was history.
Back to the Castle in FPBP... Hologram Arthur tells Isaac and Selene that they are now living in the first man made planet. Isaac and Selene couldnt accept it at first but they suddenly accepted it since they saw the hologram and the castle so it must be true. Selene then asked Arthur what happened to the planet earth?. Arthur answers that in the coming years almost everybody on earth left to live on new man made terraformed planets and there were only two people left on that planet, Their names were Adamson and Evelyn. My records on planet earth has stopped after that.
After a few days living in the castle, Isaac and Selene left the castle and promised Arthur to keep the castles location a secret and to go back to civilization. Feeling great with the new knowledge of the history of their planet and their people.
